CSR Sri Lanka once again arranged a knowledge exchange session to bring a unique training opportunity to its members on 29th of May, 2015 in collaboration with Holcim Sri Lanka. The participants were provided with exclusive and tailor-made training and knowledge exchange by two global experts from Holcim International.
The sessions were facilitated byMs. Stefanie Koch; Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Holcim International and Ms. ArianeLüthi;Human Rights Specialist at Holcim International. The two hour session covered topics such as the CSR approach, Realities in embracing real CSR and evolution, sustainable development ambitions, inclusive business initiatives and human rights in businesses. The presentation was followed by an interesting Q&A session.
With a career span over 15 years in sustainable development and CSR,Stefanie is renowned for her passion in responsible business development and. She is a Fellow, East-Asian Studies, and International Development at Harvard University and has completed her studies in Cornell University and University of Cambridge. She joined Holcim at 2008 as CSR Manager and today she heads CSR and Inclusive Business at Holcim Technology Ltd.Arianne is currently a Human Rights Specialist at Holcim, and has been in charge of designing and rolling out the company’s global human rights risk management approach. She co-developed the Group’s sustainable supply chain program and trained procurement personnel worldwide. Her current focus lies on the identification of “inclusive business” models, which address social problems while generating business returns.
